How much is LASIK in the Quad Cities?
Eye Surgeons Associates prices LASIK the same for every patient. The tests and processes are the same for each patient, and the procedure is customized to fit your vision. The cost of LASIK eye surgery at ESA is $2,500/eye, which includes the following:
- Free consultation (Due to equipment constraints, LASIK patients may not exceed 400 pounds)
- Pre-surgical evaluation includes pachymetry, topography and a full, dilated ophthalmic eye exam
- Surgery is performed using Alcon WaveLight lasers
- All post-operative care for one year
- Enhancements for up to one year ($350 charge will apply to all retreatments to correct monovision)
- Military personnel and first responders (Police, EMTs, and Firefighters) receive 10% off LASIK surgery at ESA.
Why are some LASIK prices cheaper than ESA?
Pricing can vary based on the technology used, the post-operative and enhancement period offered after the procedure, and the surgeon’s advanced training.
Discounted under $1,000/eye prices typically only apply to correcting mild nearsightedness. High or moderate amounts of nearsightedness, astigmatism, or farsightedness can result in higher costs than advertised. There may be better solutions for correcting your vision than these low-cost options.
Additional fees may apply if a problem arises following surgery and you need more care. Plus, additional surgeries and your initial consultation may be more expensive.
Another reason you may find a lower LASIK price is that the procedure is performed with older technology. LASIK may be more precise with newer technologies, but older technology is not necessarily bad. For example, at $499/eye, you would not be entitled to custom or bladeless (all-laser) LASIK as you would be at ESA.
If you’re considering a low-cost LASIK procedure from another doctor, ask for a written quote, read the fine print, and ask if any additional fees may apply.
How does the cost of LASIK compare to glasses and contacts?
Vision correction procedures can reduce your lifetime expenses and give you great vision without the hassle of glasses and contacts.

Why is LASIK at ESA worth it?
Experienced Team
ESA was the first practice in the Quad Cities to offer LASIK and has invested significantly in training and technology to be the area’s leading LASIK provider.
Advanced Technology
The WaveLight Refractive Suite combines two advanced lasers in a single system. It’s the fastest laser, resulting in a more comfortable patient experience, improved safety and excellent outcomes.
Fellowship Trained Surgeon
Our LASIK surgeon, Dr. Connor Davenport, has the latest training in refractive surgery for vision correction and completed a cornea and refractive surgery fellowship from Hoopes Vision, a premier vision correction center in Utah. A small percentage of ophthalmologists pursue additional training, called a fellowship, to become an expert in one particular area of the eye. While a fellowship is not required to perform LASIK, Dr. Davenport sought this advanced training and education to provide patients with the highest level of care. He believes in the benefits of LASIK and has had the procedure.
What are my options for paying for LASIK?
Use Pretax Dollars
LASIK is an excellent investment in your well-being. The IRS has determined that vision correction is a qualified deductible medical expense, and LASIK qualifies for payment through employer-sponsored “cafeteria” or “flex spending” medical benefit plans and HSAs.
