Good Days Chronic Disease Fund – Lack of Funding for 2025
In the past, patients with Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans were eligible to enroll in the Good Days program, a national non-profit charitable organization which assisted with offsetting the cost of the patient responsibility co-insurance for injections based on financial need.
Unfortunately, at this time, the program is not enrolling new patients, and Good Days has not received adequate funding to continue assisting existing patients.
What This Means for Our Patients:
As a result, until Good Days Chronic Disease Fund receives more funding, patients receiving this assistance will now be responsible for their co-insurance amount. As participating providers in the Medicare program, Eye Surgeons Associates is required by federal law to collect unmet deductibles, and co-insurance amounts for Medicare and Medicare Advantage plan beneficiaries.
We recognize the importance of continued treatment for our patients. If you are unable to afford your co-insurance, please do not skip your scheduled appointment – there may be other treatment options available that you can discuss with your Doctor. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
Should you have further questions, please contact our Patient Accounts Billing Office at 563-323-2020, Option 4.
Eye Surgeons Associates remain committed to helping our patients maintain their eye health and will continue working to find solutions for those affected by these changes.
